New Friends

I love it when S gets to meet sweet girls her age.  That cute little one on the right is a new found friend!  We will call her J.  I work with J's mom, last night we finally got the two of them together.

Needless to say they hit if off beautifully!  It took all of about 3 nano-seconds for S to get J into a Princess dress; it was smooth sailing afterwards.  Nothing like Princess dresses, chicken nuggets and a good movie to solidify a friendship!  Why can't adult relationships be that easy.

I'm The Mommy

First things first, you may notice that it 'looks' like I took this next few pictures last night since S is wearing the exact same outfit.  You would be wrong.  As soon as her feet hit the floor my girl is making a bee-line for the, somewhat large, plastic box underneath her bed.  This is her most precious of all boxes.  This holds her Princess dress up clothes; dresses, tiara's, shoes (that are none too friendly to my wood floors) and jewelry.  If I would let her she would go to school, ride her bike, eat, take a bath or go to bed in them (actually sometimes she does - hey, after 10 minutes of running around a couch at 7 o'clock at night.... momma just doesn't have the freakin' energy).

Anyway, back to the original point of this blog.  So she grabs one of my many trusted hats.  I love hats.  I am a complete tomgirl and a runner, hats are just part of who I am.  So, she put it on and announces:

"I'm the momma" (Did I tell you I wear that hat A LOT)!!

Then for some reason she decided to change the setting on my hat.... Yes, settings.  I had it perfectly set to my head.  Hat people back me up here, you know where I am coming from, right?  As soon as you put it on it is the perfect fit.  It molds instanly to your head with no adjustment necessary!  So, she is looking at me, holding my hat out in front of her and she says;

"Momma I took the holes out"

Oh my goodness... My poor hat. It's broken.
One look at me and she immediately starts saying, "I'm sorry momma, sorry, okay?"

Tell me, could you resist that face?   If you said yes you either a) don't have kids, b) have really, really bad eyesight or c) are the Tin Man from The Wizard of Oz and have yet to find Oz.... Just sayin'!!

Pricess S

She looks just like a story book Princess, right?  Innocent, sweet, innocent... I said that already, huh?  Then why when I look at this picture does it remind me of Chucky's bride?  She kinda scares me here, she has that look.  You know, the look your kid gives you when they are planning something mid-evil, something that will more than likely make you look over your shoulder for the rest of your life.

She really isn't a scary child.  She is a loving little girl.  Always hugging me and telling me she loves me.  She loves to dress up and dance around the living room.  She has smiles for me in the morning.... okay that was stretching it a bit!  All in all she is not the little heathen she portrays in this picture.

All in all she is my Princess S.

Picture Time

So my soon-to-be 4 year old loves to get her picture taken.

"Take my picture momma"

"MMMMUUUAAAHHH"

"Watch me touch my nose"

This picture was after she decided to get within 6 inches of the camera and the flash went off.

Here she is trying to explain to me that the flash got her eye, "See mamma, right here. In my eye, no my eye."
No wonder I delete half the pictures I take of this youngun!
